Igor Piačka

* 8 October 1962

He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bratislava under the renowned professor Albín Brunovský. In the late 1980s, he continued his studies at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Brussels, and since the early 1990s, he has been teaching at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bratislava. His focus is on figurative compositions. Igor Piačka often works with the techniques of drypoint or etching. Igor Palička has received a long list of prestigious awards for his work.
