Michal Trpák

Michal Trpák, a graduate of the Academy of Arts, Architecture, and Design in Prague, continued his doctoral studies under Boris Jirků. He furthered his education through internships in Canada and Finland. Trpák is a versatile artist with a strong affinity for site-specific projects. His numerous public installations can be found both in his home country and abroad. Predominant themes in his work include human figures, animals, plants, and organic matter. His large outdoor sculptures, often seen on building facades or suspended in space, have gained significant popularity. A unique piece of his work is the giant underwater sculpture in a diving quarry near Mrákov.
